Isabella Citizens for Health, Inc. continues to closely monitor the directives and guidance from federal, state, and local authorities concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. Upon the expiration of any Executive Order or Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standards, the Center will continue to follow the CDC and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
Screening for Patients:
We encourage all our patients to Call Us First before going to the emergency department, unless you are having a life-threatening emergency. Our nurses and providers can help decide if you can be safely treated at home, or if you should be seen in our office or the emergency room.
Symptoms of COVID-19 usually include:
People with certain conditions are at high risk for severe problems if they become ill with COVID-19. These conditions include:
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 and you have any of these high risk conditions, contact your primary care provider’s office to find out if you should be tested or seen in an emergency room.
If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include:

Because this is a rapidly changing pandemic, we may need to adjust our response as the situation changes.

- Symptomatic patients will be roomed immediately or asked to wait in their car until a room is available.
- All Symptomatic patients will have a rapid covid-19 test performed.

- Fever

- Age 65 years or older
- Chronic lung diseases (COPD, emphysema, etc.)
- Pregnancy
- Tobacco use
- Conditions that weaken the immune system (cancer, diabetes, HIV, etc.)
If you have symptoms of COVID-19 and you have any of these high risk conditions, contact your primary care provider’s office to find out if you should be tested or seen in an emergency room.
If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, get medical attention immediately. Emergency warning signs include:
- Trouble breathing
- Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
- New confusion or inability to arouse
- Bluish lips or face
